VUMOP (THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION) at their field trials, are monitoring soil moisture and meteodata to derive the precise crop water requirement data for effective irrigation doses and verification of remotely sensed information.

VUMOP uses soil moisture monitoring equipment (CS650; DataLogger EMScloud SoilSet09) in the depth of 15 cm and 35 cm. and the data are transferred and stored online.

The meteorological station is equipped to measure / provide Global radiation, Penman potential evapotranspiration, Air moisture, Air temperature, Cumulative precipitation, Precipitation intensity, Wind speed.
